Thankfully, my grammar must have come from mom. The nominative of the verb is the participle, “reading,” not “Justin’s stories. So “is” IS the correct choice. Or, I guess in the words of Bill Clinton, “It depends on what the meaning of the word, ‘is,’ is.” But nice try.
